Qualifications

• Be a student or recent graduate of a BPET-certified course.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds.
• Ability to recognize colors.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, join, fasten, or rework parts and assemblies to meet quality standards.
• Locate reference points, parts, and assemblies from drawings, prints, and work orders.
• Perform pre-sequenced tasks including rework, repairs, and modifications.
• Select parts, materials, tools, and determine work sequence.
• Report issues per shop procedures.
• Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.
• Perform fabrication tasks on sheet metal parts including drilling and riveting.
• Prepare and apply adhesives, cements, and foams for bonding.
• Operate ovens for sealing or bonding detail parts to assemblies.
• Apply protective materials to assemblies.
• Assemble and install mechanical accessories like latches and pulleys.
• Work with plastics, extrusions, castings, and forgings.
• Route, clamp, and secure electrical installation components.
