Top Echelon Software, LLC is seeking an Aerospace Mig & Tig Welder for our client near Newington, CT. This direct-hire role offers first-shift hours, competitive pay in the $30s–$40s per hour DOE, and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will weld aerospace-grade metals using Mig and Tig processes to AWS D17.1 standards and inspect your own welds for quality. Requirements include a minimum of 3 years in a precision aerospace environment, ability to read blueprints, and strong math skills.

Qualifications

Our precision manufacturing client near Newington, CT is seeking an Aerospace Mig & Tig Welder on a first shift. Direct-hire position, not contract or temp, with competitive compensation ($30s - $40s/hr. DOE) and full benefits package. Must have minimum 3 years' experience in a precision (AS9100/ISO9001) environment in both GMAW & GTAW, with the ability to produce AWS D17.1 quality welds in a variety of aerospace metals to requisite specifications and standards, and check own welds for compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Read & understand customer blueprints and welding diagrams & schematics
• Execute precision welds in either Mig or Tig on aerospace-grade metals (stainless, aluminum, titanium, nickel, etc.)
• Check all welds for compliance with AWS D17.1 standard
• Fabricate appropriate work fixturing as may be needed per task
• Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects
• Maintain clean & orderly work area

Qualifications & Requirements

• HS diploma or GED; vo-tech training or welding apprenticeship will be an asset.
• Must be able to execute welds to AWS D17.1 (current AWS certification a plus.)
• Ability to read & interpret blueprints, schematics and welding diagrams/symbols
• Ability to use precision tools & procedures to make accurate inspections
• Good at math with analytical abilities
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items

Shifts

• 1st: Mon-Fri 7:00AM-3:30PM (start/end times reasonably flexible)

Expected hours:

• No less than 40 per week/OT available
