Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a manufacturing technician to operate robotic weld systems, perform precision drilling, and set up production areas for aerospace components. You will verify workmanship to engineering drawings, troubleshoot issues, and participate in continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves lifting up to 50 lbs, working on A/B or D shifts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safety and quality in spaceflight hardware.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in manufacturing, integration, or related field.
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Windows, MS Office).
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Able to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Operate robotic weld systems.
  • Manual blend operations.
  • Precision drilling per engineering drawings and specs for internal tank installations.
  • Setup new production work areas, including layouts, tooling, and equipment.
  • Perform verifications and inspections to engineering models, drawings, specs, and work instructions.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct discrepancies by modification or repair.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, aerial lifts, etc.).
  • Set up and operate precision calibrated tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, optical instruments).
  • Perform routine maintenance and 5S/Safety activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
