Job summary

Component Repair Technologies, Inc. in Mentor, OH is seeking a Visual/Dimensional Inspector for the 3rd shift (Mon-Fri).

You will inspect aerospace and marine gas turbine engine components for airworthiness and conformance to OEM standards during receiving, in-process, and final inspections. Training is provided through an in-house program, with opportunities to learn from a world-class engineering team and work in a modern, state-of-the-art facility completed in 2023.

Qualifications

• Two years of aircraft maintenance or similar experience or an applicable technical accreditation.
• Experience with visual inspection methods and aids.
• Proficiency with calipers, borescopes, micrometers, and comparators.
• Knowledge of turbine engine components and shop processes.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect components for wear, corrosion, fretting, gouges, bent or worn features, elongated holes, and damage.
• Measure parts using micrometers, calipers and other inspection tools to determine sizes.
• Determine whether part features meet serviceability and reparability standards.
• Interpret OEM manuals for continued airworthiness and document findings.
• Check customer and vendor documentation and CRT records.
• Clearly report all findings with location, size and parameters.
• Collaborate with engineering on new procedures and repairs for continuous improvement.
