Job summary

Advantage Technical is seeking a hands-on Vibration Test Technician in Framingham, MA to set up and perform vibration and shock tests on development and production hardware. You will operate electrodynamic shaker systems, collect data, and work with engineering to execute test plans.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in engineering technology or related field, plus experience with accelerometers, DAQ systems, and environmental testing.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Technology, or related field preferred.
• Experience with vibration testing, environmental testing, or laboratory testing environments.
• Familiarity with accelerometers, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read technical procedures and complete detailed documentation.
• Aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or product testing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform vibration and shock tests on development and production hardware.
• Operate electrodynamic shaker systems and data acquisition equipment.
• Assist with test fixture fabrication, assembly, and installation.
• Collect, analyze, and document test data and results.
• Support equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with engineering teams to execute test plans and resolve issues.
• Assist with failure investigations and process improvement initiatives.
