Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a qualified Quality Engineer to develop and execute quality processes for valve assemblies used in rocket propulsion systems. You will act as QA SME across inspection, manufacturing, and test teams, driving root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.

The role requires a BS in Engineering (or CQE) and 3–5+ years of relevant experience, including GD&T, AS9100 familiarity, and nonconformance handling. Aerospace experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent; CQE certification preferred.
• 3–5+ years in engineering with 2+ years in quality engineering.
• Experience in aerospace/space launch or related industries is a plus.
• Familiarity with GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and nonconformance processing.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain quality system processes for valve assemblies in development and production.
• Serve as QA SME for valve assembly operations across inspection, manufacturing, and test teams.
• Review manufacturing build documents and nonconformance records for valve hardware.
• Perform FAI planning and execution per AS9102 for valve components.
• Apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5 to support inspection and disposition.
• Lead root cause analysis and MRB disposition of nonconforming material.
• Improve quality processes through cross‑functional integration and communication.
• Contribute to audits and quality performance measurement (AS9100).
• Support design reviews and supplier quality improvements.
• Develop training to raise quality awareness across teams.
