Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a dynamic Shift Leader of Manufacturing Ops & Assembly to oversee valve component production. You will lead teams to achieve operational excellence, develop production plans, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain to address challenges and drive continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and timely delivery in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on mentoring teams and implementing advanced manufacturing techniques.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years managing a team in manufacturing/aerospace.
• Minimum of 5+ years as an individual contributor in manufacturing/aerospace.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data to drive decisions and improvements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional work.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Develop and execute production plans to meet delivery schedules.
• Mentor manufacturing teams and foster teamwork and open information sharing.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain to address manufacturing challenges and drive continuous improvement.
• Monitor production performance and report to senior management with sound judgment.
• Ensure safety, regulatory, and company standards compliance; manage opportunities with urgency.
• Manage budgets and allocate resources for manufacturing activities.
• Support new product introductions and scale up production capabilities.
• Make informed decisions focusing on quality and business impact.
