Job summary

Hanwha Aerospace USA LLC is seeking a Value Stream Manager in Newington, CT to lead a cross-functional team across Engineering, Quality, Production Planning, and Supply Chain. You will drive manufacturing schedules, Lean initiatives, and continuous improvement to meet customer demands while controlling costs.

The role requires a strong background in aerospace production, 8+ years in engineering or production management, and at least 3 years of leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Person and able to work with ITAR data.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration.
• 8+ years of experience in engineering or production management.
• 5+ years in a production environment with aerospace manufacturing or program management.
• 3+ years of experience leading and managing a team in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for value stream including long- and short-range resource planning.
• Ensure Safety, Health and Environmental compliance in daily activities.
• Execute manufacturing schedules to plan on-time delivery while meeting quality at lowest cost.
• Manage external supplier network for machining, coating, and grinding.
• Achieve cooperative relationships with the customer and mitigate schedule impact.
• Champion Lean Manufacturing and lead process improvement for high-yield processes.
• Communicate updates across the organization and escalate issues as needed.
• Supervise production employees including selection, performance management, and training.
• Lead with strategic financial understanding linking outcomes to operations actions.
• Perform related duties as required.
