Job summary
Blue Origin in Alabama is seeking technicians for thermal processing of aerospace hardware. You will operate vacuum furnaces, assist with equipment procurement and installation, and perform pyrometric testing to ensure quality and compliance with AMS/standards.
The role supports engineering, production, and manufacturing teams in heat-treatment initiatives. The ideal candidate has hands-on vacuum furnace experience, understands vacuum systems, and can read schematics and test documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of aerospace vacuum thermal processing experience.
- Understanding of vacuum system fundamentals and operation.
- Experience thermally processing aerospace materials such as stainless steel, nickel, cobalt alloys, and titanium wrought alloys.
Responsibilities
- Operate vacuum furnaces and ancillary equipment.
- Assist with specification, procurement and installation of equipment.
- Perform pyrometric testing and certification of vacuum furnace equipment.
- Support engineering/production with testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
