Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Tube Shop Tech Bender Level 1 in Huntsville, AL to apply technical expertise and leadership toward safe human spaceflight. The role emphasizes quality, safety, and a collaborative culture across diverse teams across facilities.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience in aerospace tube bending, interpret engineering drawings, and maintain rigorous 5S/ESD standards. The position may require flexible scheduling, overtime, and lifting up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• 1-5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, or tube bending.
• Ability to work with small hardware components and attention to detail.
• Interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures
• Work collaboratively with teams of various skills, disciplines, and backgrounds
• Communicate clearly and appropriately, in writing and person
• Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
• Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean-up of work areas to support 5S, FOD, and ESD
• A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with teams of various skills across large geographic distances
• Ability to support Monday-Friday work schedule, work off-shift, extended hours overtime, and weekends if/when necessary
• Ability to lift to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, supporting all Shifts/OT, as necessary, to support business needs.
