Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Tube Shop Technician to support engineering, production, and manufacturing teams by assembling, integrating, testing, modifying, and checking aerospace systems and hardware. You will work from drawings and instructions to build and troubleshoot prototype and production tubes and assemblies, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Shifts are varied (A–D) with relocation available.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or related field (0-3, 3+ or 5+ level paths).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Hands‑on assembly and integration of structural, mechanical, fluid, and avionic systems.
• Proficient with precision calibration tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers).
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs and working at heights or in confined spaces.
• Experience with adhesives, sealants, and fasteners.
• Basic proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Utilize automated bending equipment to fabricate and inspect tubes for space launch vehicles.
• Assemble and integrate subcomponents and final assemblies per engineering specs.
• Configure production work areas with tooling to maintain efficient workflow.
• Operate precision calibrated tools to uphold safety and quality.
• Identify and implement safety, efficiency, and productivity improvements.
• Perform operational tests, troubleshooting, and fault isolation.
• Support transition from development to production; perform preventive maintenance.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas following 5S principles.
