Job summary

CS Group USA, a subsidiary of CS Group, is seeking a Tools and Test Automation Engineer to develop and optimize automation tools across safety-critical avionics lifecycles. This role emphasizes identifying workflow gaps, modernizing tooling, and delivering scalable, high-reliability solutions to improve development and testing infrastructure.

The position supports onsite (CT), hybrid, or fully remote work. Collaboration spans across systems, hardware, software, verification, and certification

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Strong experience interfacing with embedded systems.
  • Understanding of automating Human Machine Interfacing (HMI).
  • 5+ years hands-on experience with automation.
  • Strong knowledge of Python and Pytest; TCL, PHP or Javascript; C/C++ for embedded systems.
  • DO-330 tool qualification is beneficial but not required.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and root-cause investigation skills.
  • Strong communication and technical leadership skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required. Dual citizenship should be disclosed.
  • Able to travel approximately up to four weeks per year.

Responsibilities

  • Define, develop and maintain automation tools and frameworks for software development and verification lifecycles.
  • Collaborate across systems, hardware, software, verification and certification teams.
  • Define and defend technical decisions to stakeholders while guiding implementation.
  • Capture performance and testing requirements accurately and efficiently.
  • Enhance workflows to improve reliability and throughput.
  • Ensure tools meet robustness, performance and scalability standards.
  • Integrate new tools with engineering teams to meet project objectives.
  • Support development efforts and communicate technical status to stakeholders.
  • Provide mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
