Job summary

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston, Inc. seeks a Tooling Maintenance Technician to dismantle, move, install, repair and maintain industrial tooling and machinery in a high‑tech aerospace environment in Kinston, NC.

The role requires reading blueprints and performing CAD/CAM‑related setup tasks with PLC/CNC knowledge. You will participate in preventive maintenance, conduct root-cause analyses, and collaborate with engineering and vendors to implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Must be willing and able to work any shift.
• Must complete Workkeys assessment or have High School Diploma/GED.
• Welding experience (TIG and/or laser) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dismantles, moves, assembles, installs and repairs industrial machinery per layout plans, blueprints, drawings, or verbal instructions.
• Dismantles equipment using hand tools; moves machinery using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
• Sets up and operates machine tools and fabrication machinery to rework or make new parts.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance and participates in root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams.
• Repairs and maintains lay-up tools; reads PLC/CNC diagrams for troubleshooting.
