Job summary

BARNES Aerospace CRO division in Ohio is seeking a TIG Welder. The successful candidate will weld aircraft parts using TIG on thin material, read operation sheets, and support process improvements. The role emphasizes quality, documentation, and adherence to FAA/DOT safety standards.

Shift is 6:00 pm - 6:00 am (Fri - Sun). Candidates must have 3+ years TIG welding experience and the ability to work with FAA/DOT regulations and aerospace specifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of TIG welding experience in production or repair environments.
• Experience welding exotic metals.
• Ability to read and interpret operation sheets and follow instructions.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and fractions/decimals as needed.
• English communication with coworkers and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Weld aircraft component parts ranging in thickness from .015 - .120 in.
• Read from drawings, sketches, templates, and patterns.
• Work is subject to process and final inspection and testing.
• Complete necessary paperwork to track parts through process.
• Perform repetitive welding operations on standard weldments following prescribed procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
