Job summary

Axius Group in Wichita, KS is seeking a Professional, Engineering - Thermodynamics to perform advanced thermodynamic, CFD, and heat transfer analyses in support of aircraft design and testing.

The role focuses on evaluating complex fluid-heat transfer challenges, right-sizing, design decisions, and documenting results and engineering practices to ensure consistent technical execution. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field required.
• Coursework or experience in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, CFD analysis, and thermal systems required.
• Minimum of five to eight years of experience in internal flow CFD analysis required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex CFD and thermal analyses for aircraft design, testing, and performance optimization.
• Conduct internal flow CFD analysis to support system sizing and performance.
• Interpret results for design requirements, right-sizing, reliability, safety, and performance objectives.
• Prepare test plans for analysis validation, ground testing, and flight testing.
• Document analyses, assumptions, methodologies, findings, and recommendations.
• Develop and update engineering practice documentation and standards.
