Job summary

TalenTier in Dayton, OH seeks a Thermal Spray Engineer to develop, support and optimize APS and thermal spray coating processes for aerospace components. This hands-on manufacturing role focuses on process development, robotic coating programs, troubleshooting, equipment improvements, and new product introduction.

You will work with cross-functional teams to improve process capability, quality, yield, throughput, and cost, while supporting dimensional inspection and qualification activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree as stated.
• 2+ years in manufacturing, process, aerospace, or gas turbine engineering.
• Experience with coating technologies; thermal spray or APS preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specs, and requirements.
• Experience supporting manufacturing process development and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify, and optimize APS/thermal spray coating processes.
• Create and improve robotic spray programs, tooling, fixtures, and process parameters.
• Support FANUC robotic coating systems and equipment upgrades.
• Troubleshoot coating and manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support new product introduction, process qualification, and production readiness.
• Improve process capability, quality, yield, throughput, and cost.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on turbine component repairs and production processes.
• Develop procedures, specifications, reports, and work instructions.
• Support dimensional inspection using CMM, laser/white-light scanning, gauges.
