Siemens Energy is seeking a Thermal Spray Manufacturing Engineer to partner with coating operators and production teams, driving daily coating operations for gas turbine components. You will optimize APS/HVOF processes, troubleshoot robotics, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to sustain high-quality coatings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in thermal spray manufacturing, coatings technology, or a related advanced manufacturing environment.
• Experience developing and optimizing APS and/or HVOF coating processes.
• Experience operating, programming, and troubleshooting ABB or Fanuc robotic systems, including offline programming.
• Knowledge of metallurgical examination methods, coating evaluation practices, and manufacturing quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize thermal spray coating processes, including APS and HVOF for combustion components.
• Create, modify, and troubleshoot robotic programs using ABB or Fanuc controls (offline programming preferred).
• Provide hands-on technical support to coating operators and production teams to resolve process and quality challenges.
• Lead continuous improvement and advanced manufacturing initiatives focused on capability, productivity, and cost reduction.
• Design, adapt, and procure tooling, fixtures, and equipment for thermal spray operations.
• Develop technical work instructions, conduct training, and ensure process documentation is effectively communicated.
