Job summary

GE Aerospace in Dayton, OH, is seeking a Testing Specialist to execute laboratory and field validation testing, inspect instrumentation, and acquire data for power generation products. You will work with cross-functional teams to support ongoing development of aerospace power systems.

The role requires strong electrical/mechanical aptitude, hands-on testing, and the ability to read schematics and technical manuals. Some off-hours testing and collaboration with engineering are expected.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams including EHS, quality, engineering, planning, and materials to support operational initiatives and constant improvement.
• Understand and adhere to Test Plans, Procedures, and Equipment Operating Procedures.
• Use mechanical and electrical ingenuity to make decisions in a fast-paced, safe environment.
• Execute laboratory and field validation testing, inspection and data acquisition for product design validation.
• Design and construct test facilities, test rigs, instrumentation systems, and test software.
• Expand knowledge within own discipline to contribute to policy/strategy.
