Job summary

RTX, the world’s leading aerospace and defense company, seeks an entry-level technician for production and testing of aerospace components on a first shift (Mon–Fri, 7:00am–3:00pm). You will read schematics, troubleshoot hardware, and work with engineers to resolve manufacturing test issues.

Responsibilities include following procedures, fabricating tooling as needed, and assisting with documentation and cost estimates. Overtime may be required as part of production needs.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or equivalent (US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline.
• Experience in production assembly preferred.
• Experience in troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Understanding of schematic reading and blueprint interpretation.
• Proficient with test equipment such as network/spectrum analyzers and signal generators.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical tasks based on detailed written or verbal instructions.
• Utilize electronic, optical, mechanical, and electromechanical equipment including computers and lasers.
• Ability to read schematics.
• Perform entry level troubleshooting, calibration or modification of hardware, fixtures, and software.
• Participate on project teams and manage task prioritization.
• Work with engineers to analyze and resolve manufacturing test problems.
• Assist reducing test defects and improve test yields.
• Follow test procedures to support sub-assembly and top-level testing.
• Interacts with engineering and manufacturing on routine technical matters.
• Provide documentation and time data for decision making.
