Job summary

Karman Space & Defense is seeking a Test Technician to support mission-critical hardware testing from component to system level. You will collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to plan, execute, and document tests under strict procedures.

This role emphasizes safety, precision, and the ability to work independently in a lab environment. Qualifications include a high school diploma, 2–5 years in aerospace/defense, and the ability to obtain a Washington explosives license.

Qualifications

• Must read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and procedures.
• Ability to maintain safety practices when operating heavy industrial equipment.
• Proficiency with computers and common office applications.

Responsibilities

• Supports test setup and execution with engineers and technicians.
• Assists with test design, data collection, and documentation of results.
• Performs fixture, equipment, and instrumentation setup and teardown per procedures.
• Conducts component-level pressure testing and full-system functional tests.
• Supports environmental testing including thermal, shock, and vibration tests.
• Adheres to military and commercial testing specifications.
