Job summary

Amazon LEO is building a low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. We seek an Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer to keep production test floors running smoothly, troubleshoot issues, and prevent downtime across test setup, equipment, and IT infra.

You will develop scripts in Python (or similar) to automate tasks, improve monitoring, and drive availability of automated test equipment, collaborating with Development, QA, Manufacturing, and Support teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years in hardware development or aerospace test environments.
  • 2+ years testing, troubleshooting, and debugging automated test systems across electrical, mechanical, software domains.
  • 2+ years with production test station (ATE) hardware/software.
  • Experience with electrical test equipment and data acquisition.
  • Experience with Python, C, or C# programming.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as first responder to technician escalations during production testing, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, software, and network-related problems to minimize downtime.
  • Distinguish test-system faults from product faults and drive ambiguous failures to clear disposition with engineering and quality teams.
  • Perform RCCA analysis on production test issues and implement systemic fixes.
  • Manage the support ticket queue: triage, prioritize, resolve, and communicate status to stakeholders.
  • Develop scripts and applications to automate tasks, improve test stability, and expand monitoring/alerting.
  • Analyze rack downtime, failure, and calibration data to identify improvements.
  • Define and implement solutions to automate environmental testing processes.
  • Work with engineers to refine test requirements and methodologies.
