Job summary

Hermeus is seeking a Test and Operations Engineering Intern in Los Angeles to support the development, integration, and testing of advanced aircraft systems in a hands-on environment. You will work alongside engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to assist with hardware integration, system checkout, development testing, and test readiness activities.

Spring: Around 16 weeks (January - April); Summer: Around 12 weeks (May - August).

Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled in a STEM program (undergrad year 3–4 or grad program).
Hands-on experience designing, building, and testing vehicles via internships or projects.
GPA of 3.0 or above.

Responsibilities

Support planning, execution, and analysis of flight tests.
Develop test plans, procedures, checklists, and flight test cards.
Monitor telemetry and assist with real-time troubleshooting.
Review test data and help shape engineering conclusions.
Design, build, and troubleshoot test hardware and instrumentation.
Support integration across mechanical, electrical, fluid, software, and vehicle systems.
Develop scripts and automation tools to improve efficiency.
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and pilots to prepare systems for testing.
Travel as needed for vehicle integration and test operations.
