Job summary

Senior Aerospace SSP, a division of Senior plc, is seeking a qualified technician to set up and conduct static, motion, vibration, flow, and environmental tests in a U.S. aerospace testing environment.

The role requires constructing test fixtures, operating lab equipment, and documenting results with precision. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in an engineering test lab, can read engineering drawings, and follow safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Requires High School or Vocational School graduate with courses in Engineering or related field with a minimum 5 years related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in an engineering test lab, aerospace/manufacturing test environment, or similar technical environment.
• Experience setting up test fixtures and troubleshooting test setups/equipment.
• Experience performing mechanical testing such as pressure, burst, vibration, endurance/cyclic, load, or environmental testing.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, test procedures, and customer requirements.
• Ability to accurately document test setups, conditions, observations, and results.

Responsibilities

• Set up mechanical test fixtures and perform vibration, flow, ambient and environmental tests.
• Operate power equipment and recording instruments for test measurements.
• Read schematics and engineering blueprints to guide test setups.
• Document test setups, conditions, observations and results clearly.
• Maintain safe, organized work area and comply with quality practices.
