Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Test Engineer II to maintain and troubleshoot production test equipment and test stations, supporting hardware and software engineering efforts in avionics development. The role requires hands-on problem solving, documentation, and collaboration across engineering and production teams.

You will work on legacy and newer test systems, drive improvements, and ensure reliability of testing operations critical to aerospace products and services.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting production test equipment, test stations, simulators, or related electronic systems.
• Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop practical, reliable solutions.
• Experience supporting cross-functional teams and communicating technical information clearly to engineers and technicians.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple support requests, and follow issues through to resolution.
• Strong documentation, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain legacy Surface test stations, using creative and practical solutions to ensure equipment remains operational and supports the product line.
• Set up and improve vibration display board systems so technicians can control multiple test stations from a central location.
• Restore and maintain legacy simulators to provide a reliable production backup and eliminate single points of failure.
• Coordinate with engineering to protect development activities when production equipment requires support.
• Support the Customer Service Center by ensuring test equipment is functioning properly and answering questions regarding testing RGs.
• Collaborate with the PR Software Team to troubleshoot issues and implement fixes.
• Upgrade Test Stations to newer Windows Versions.
• Perform general troubleshooting of units, test stations, and rate tables in response to production and engineering support needs.
• Assist with calibration tracking and develop processes that improve equipment visibility, readiness, and maintainability.
• Document troubleshooting activities, equipment modifications, test results, and corrective actions.
