Job summary

Actalent in Redmond, WA is seeking a Test Engineer to bridge hardware design, validation, and customer support for satellite antenna systems. You will perform hardware bring-up, electrical validation, and environmental testing, while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced lab environment.

• Experience testing electronics and PCBs in lab settings.
• Ability to read schematics and test procedures.
• Familiarity with Linux and Python for debugging and automation.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Support hardware integration, bring-up, validation, and troubleshooting for satellite antenna hardware systems.
• Perform electrical validation, design validation, and qualification testing across multiple assemblies.
• Support ambient and thermal chamber test operations for various hardware assemblies.
• Configure, integrate, troubleshoot, and maintain test racks, fixtures and infrastructure.
• Perform hardware assembly, cabling, and basic soldering/rework inspections.
• Read schematics and technical documentation to support testing and troubleshooting.
• Use Linux environments and Python for debugging, data collection, and log analysis.
• Analyze failures and participate in root cause investigations with engineering teams.
• Generate clear, organized test reports, runbooks, and status updates for stakeholders.
• Identify workflow inefficiencies and propose process improvements.
• Coordinate interfacility hardware movement and logistics across sites.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and readiness for testing.
