Job summary

Cox & Company, a leader in aerospace ice protection and temperature control, is seeking a Test Engineer to lead qualification testing and develop formal procedures. The role focuses on EMI testing, environmental tests, and power quality, requiring hands-on hardware prototyping and lab coordination.

The ideal candidate will craft test plans, oversee external labs, and produce comprehensive Qualification Test Reports for OEMs and suppliers, aligning with RTCA DO-160 and MIL-STD-810/461

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (is a plus).
  • Minimum of five years of related experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed test plans and procedures per RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, and MIL-STD-461 requirements.
  • Define and specify necessary support equipment, including wiring harnesses, electrical interfaces, vibration fixtures, instrumentation, and test setup diagrams.
  • Plan, conduct, and evaluate internal risk-reduction tests at Cox and Company.
  • Collect, analyze, and organize testing data to generate comprehensive Qualification Test Reports for customers and management.
  • Provide regular testing status updates to Engineering Managers and Program Managers.
  • Coordinate test schedules with certified external laboratories and manage customer test witnessing.
  • Supervise testing at external laboratories while maintaining accurate, detailed activity logs.
