Job summary

Nidec Aerospace in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Test Engineer to design, set up, operate and maintain test benches for validating electrical propulsion systems and high voltage components. Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong background in electrical engineering principles for HV safety and reliability.
• Experience in setup/operation of dynamometer test rigs or propulsion rigs.
• Proficient in selecting and maintaining diverse test instruments for data acquisition.
• Able to execute test procedures for system integration using RS485, CAN, ARINC-429, Ethernet.
• Experience in HV environments with OSHA 29 CFR 1910, NR 10, BS EN 50110-1.

Responsibilities

• Develop and set up dynamometer test rigs per product specs.
• Operate dynamometer rigs to test various electrical motors.
• Diagnose and fix test setups, equipment, and data acquisition issues.
• Collaborate with design teams to provide motor performance feedback.
• Ensure safety regulations and quality standards for all tests.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment for precise results.
