Job description

We are launching people to the Moon and Mars. The selected candidate will perform the day-to-day operations of the Ground Support Technical Operations (GSTO) group supporting NASA's Artemis program. The candidate will support launch vehicle processing, testing, and validation of flight and ground systems. A mechanical and/or electrical background in aviation or aerospace fields is highly desirable. Must be able to follow work instructions, interpret engineer drawings, and adhere to strict work area rules and safety protocols. Excellent communication skills are required. Some experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) is necessary. Must be able to pass a SCAPE physical and maintain a security clearance. Support shift work, weekends, and reasonable overtime as required.

Responsibilities
  • Testing and validation of flight ground systems.
  • Following work instructions and interpreting engineer drawings.
  • Adhering to work area rules and safety protocols.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, technical training in the relevant area, and at least eight years of related experience, including experience leading other technicians. Depending on the candidate’s experience, requirements, and business needs, we may consider candidates at any level for this position.

  • Climbing stairs, ladders, and working in confined spaces.
  • Wearing protective gear such as hearing and eye protection.
  • Extended periods of sitting or standing, working indoors and outdoors.
  • Travel within the site to various locations.
Equipment and Tools
  • Operation of cranes, heavy equipment, and computer systems.
  • Use of office equipment and maintaining records.

  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to obtain U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency.
  • Clear communication and ability to work well with others.
  • Potential future security clearance and travel requirements.
  • Valid CDL with endorsements and Florida driver’s license.
  • Passing a federal background check and drug testing.
