Shield AI seeks a V-BAT Technical Writer to support the development and lifecycle management of aircraft system service bulletins. The role translates complex changes into clear, actionable communications for operators and maintainers, collaborating with engineering, quality, and field teams.
The ideal candidate has experience in aviation maintenance, UAS operations, or aerospace tech, with a strong ability to write precise, configuration-controlled documentation and maintain templates and style
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- FAA A&P certificate or equivalent in aviation maintenance is advantageous.
- Experience creating and validating maintenance procedures, service bulletins, and post-delivery documentation.
- Experience with aircraft or UAS systems and documenting technical content.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain service bulletins and step-by-step maintenance procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and field teams.
- Create technical visuals: photos, diagrams, and schematics for safe operation.
- Manage revisions and document-control processes in a fast-paced setting.
- Ensure content aligns with engineering data and publication standards.
