Saab West Lafayette in Indiana is seeking a Technical Writer to join a team that documents quality and process requirements for aerospace assembly. The role serves as the local SME for technical writing, develops NCRs, FAIs, MRB dispositions, and control plans, and supports inspectors across shifts.

Strong written/verbal communication, ISO/AS9100 experience, and the ability to work extended hours are essential.

Formación

• AS degree or higher in quality, technical writing, or related STEM.
• Three years’ related manufacturing quality experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical product/process requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as local SME for technical writing and guide inspectors across shifts.
• Report on writing performance and turnaround to leadership.
• Identify common quality issues and establish corrective actions.
• Develop best practices for technical writing and maintain them.
• Prepare NCRs, Inspection Plans/Control Plans, FAIs, MRB dispositions.
• Learn and apply customer/industry quality standards.
• Provide controls/solutions to deliver high-quality products on schedule.
• Be primary contact for non-conformance investigations and material assessments.
• Contribute to Saab's people-first culture and values.
