Job summary

Emerson seeks a Software Engineering Intern within the Systems R&D team of the ADG Unit in Austin, TX. You will develop software components for avionics/communications/product areas and collaborate with domain experts to deliver system-level software and APIs.

The role involves implementing and testing features in an Agile environment, following coding guidelines, and contributing to test plans. US citizenship is required for government-related contracts.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Information Science, or Computer Science.
• US Citizen and/or US Person required by law for DoD contracts.
• Proficiency in programming languages and development experience on Windows/Linux platform; familiarity with NI software.

Responsibilities

• Develop software components addressing customer requirements for the ADG Systems R&D effort.
• Collaborate with domain experts to implement software architectures, APIs, and UIs.
• Implement and test features, work in Agile teams, follow coding guidelines, contribute to test plans.
