RTX’s TCMA team in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking an entry-level Systems Engineer to design and implement Agile avionics communications systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineers to develop software-enabled solutions for military aviation applications.

As an early-career engineer, you’ll gain hands-on experience in Agile processes, requirements analysis, and verification while contributing to fast-paced programs and learning from mentors in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related STEM major.
• Familiarity with Agile software development cycle.
• Entry-level Systems Engineer focused on Agile avionics within a fast-paced defense environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate communications systems tasks within the Agile framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineers on planning, design, and development of military technology.
• Work with research teams to evaluate early requirements for software prototypes.
• Independently perform multiple tasks with mentor support.
• Implement requirements, detailed design, testing scripts for software integration and verification.
• Contribute to program schedules and team decisions while learning new technologies.
