Job summary

RTX's Mission Systems internship in Richardson, TX offers hands-on exposure to advanced communication solutions for aerospace and defense. You'll learn from industry experts while contributing to MBSE, requirements tracing, and model-based design in a cross-functional Agile environment.

You'll gain practical experience in model-based systems engineering, systems requirements, and integration and testing of communications systems for air and ground platforms.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Must have at least 60 credit hours by internship start.
• Experience in systems engineering including capturing requirements and tracing system/sub-system requirements.
• Experience with MBSE concepts and tools such as SysML (Magic Draw Cameo, EA) or similar.
• Experience can come from coursework, research, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Support development and delivery of advanced communication solutions.
• Work in a cross‑functional agile team under a mentor.
• Create, decompose, and trace requirements for military communications systems.
• Perform integration and testing of communications solutions.
• Assist in future bids and proposals.
