Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Systems Engineer in Round Rock, TX to support unmanned and manned aircraft platforms and unmanned ground vehicles. You will manage requirements, define architectures, develop ICDs, and drive tests across the V-model lifecycle with close collaboration to software and hardware teams.

Qualifications

• Experience defining system requirements and architectures in a multidisciplinary team.
• Involvement in requirements definition, system design, integration and test.
• Understanding of V-model and traceability from design to validation.
• Interface control documents (ICDs) experience.
• Defense/aerospace industry experience.
• MBSE experience and familiarity with aircraft systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer needs to allocate requirements to system elements.
• Develop architectures for aircraft and unmanned ground vehicle systems.
• Create and maintain system design documentation and ICDs.
• Use models to support design, trade studies, and performance assessments.
• Plan and document test strategies, plans, procedures and reports.
• Lead testing activities: I&T, HIL, SIL and operational tests as applicable.
• Ensure traceability across requirements, design, implementation, and tests.
• Collaborate with Software Engineering to define system requirements.
• Follow PDR/CDR milestones and formal development processes.
