A leading aerospace company seeks an Aerospace Systems Engineer to develop system-level architectures and lead technical projects. The role involves managing multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with technical requirements, and interfacing with clients to provide effective solutions. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and have a minimum of 5 years in aerospace engineering, with responsibilities that include design analysis and project management.
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and be responsible for product system architecture and technical strategy.
Serve as technical lead for programs, provide clear objectives that are measurable and attainable to other engineers and resources in the program.
Work closely with the Program Manager to ensure successful execution of development programs.
Manage and account for technical requirements from the top down – traceability, verification, and validation.
Translate high-level requirements into lower-level specifications.
Coordinate technical activities with internal resources (engineers, program management, quality, operations) and external resources (vendors, contractors).
Develop and maintain standard engineering methods and tools used to develop new designs.
Manage the development and implementation of new designs (design analysis, risk mitigation, review of safety factors & stack-ups, reliability tools, schedules, and design reviews).
Work and collaborate with customers to ensure real time communication and optimum solution development.
Review and approve documentation for transition from prototype to production.
Provide engineering support to trouble shoot and diagnose non-performing product.
Oversee the failure analysis process providing support and final review of all reports.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Aerospace Systems Engineering.
Willingness to travel up to 15%
Desired Characteristics
Five(5) years of experience in aerospace engineering, designing, analyzing, testing, integrating, qualifying, and fielding products.
Basic CAD experience (preferably in SolidWorks).
Basic coding/scripting experience (preferably in MATLAB or Python).
Knowledge and experience with steady state and dynamic system modeling and architecting high level controls.
Working knowledge of key aerospace technical disciplines including mechanical design, materials, modeling/documentation, structural analysis, thermal fluid sciences, electrical systems, system controls, embedded controls, development testing and analysis, qualification analysis and testing.
Understanding of aerospace requirements management methodologies and processes – traceability, verification, and validation.
Functional understanding of major aircraft systems: environmental control systems, powerplant, electrical, hydraulics, controls, avionics, power generation, and structures.

The base pay range for this position is $121,000.00 – 195,000.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on July 2, 2025.
