Job summary

Zytek Medsearch in Coxsackie, NY is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead the aerospace and defense manufacturing supply chain from backlog entry through delivery, with a strong focus on quality, delivery, cost and supplier performance.

You will oversee planning, procurement, logistics, S&OP, and talent development, leveraging Lean methods and ERP systems to drive continuous improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field; MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of supply chain or leadership experience.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience highly preferred.
• 3+ years of ERP experience and S&OP experience.
• Strong knowledge of materials, inventory, production control, procurement and supplier management.
• Cross-functional leadership across SC, Procurement, Sales, Customer Service or Operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and negotiation skills.
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and database/query capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead supply chain strategy, planning, execution and continuous improvement across the facility.
• Develop supplier strategies and lead supplier selection, development, evaluation and performance management.
• Support commodity strategies, contract negotiations, NDAs, T&Cs and long-term agreements.
• Manage procurement of materials and services while optimizing total cost, quality and delivery.
• Serve as a key member of the S&OP process with schedule updates, risk assessments and mitigations.
• Lead cross-functional efforts to resolve shortages, delays and priority conflicts.
• Oversee inbound/outbound logistics and material flow.
• Ensure ITAR compliance and proper supplier communications.
• Set targets for new component launches and drive corrective actions.
• Lead, train and evaluate the supply chain team and talent development.
• Apply Lean principles to supply chain processes.
