Job summary

Parker Hannifin, a Fortune 250 leader in motion and control technologies, is seeking a Supplier Development Project Engineer in Irvine, CA. You will manage supplier work-transfer projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support cost-reduction initiatives to strengthen supply chain performance.

You will interact with Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Procurement while traveling to support business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; technical engineering background and supply chain experience preferred.
• 6+ years aerospace manufacturing experience, particularly with complex and moderately complex machine parts.
• Demonstrated project management capability, including leading cross-functional initiatives and managing multiple priorities.
• Strong technical aptitude, including ability to read and interpret technical product drawings (Blue Print).
• Proven ability to promote ideas, drive positive changes, and lead continuous improvement.
• Advanced computer skills with Excel, Access, and ERP systems.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; able to interface with internal teams and external suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead key supplier work transfer projects with cross-functional teams to increase capacity and mitigate risk.
• Support development and execution of strategic deflation and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing suppliers for collaboration and accountability.
• Establish robust communication processes with suppliers and internal stakeholders for timely issue resolution.
• Lead continuous improvement to improve supplier efficiency, quality, delivery and cost performance.
