Job summary

K2 Space is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer, Mechanical within the Supply Chain team. You will define and implement supplier development strategies, work with engineering and procurement, and grow suppliers into strategic partners for critical missions.

This role offers high visibility and impact across the organization. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 5+ years in quality or supply chain roles, and experience with PPAP, ISO 9001/AS9100, and supplier performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in a quality, reliability, supply chain, or engineering role.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100, PPAP.

Responsibilities

• Assess supplier capabilities and their ability to meet manufacturing requirements.
• Manage PPAP, rate, and reliability campaigns to enable production.
• Lead containment, ticket resolution, and supplier corrective actions.
• Evaluate supplier quality performance and drive improvements using scorecards and audits.
• Provide program leadership to ensure product quality, delivery, and cost meet expectations.
• Interface with engineering, production, and procurement to define production roadmaps.
