Job summary

Triumph is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer in West Hartford, CT to support external hydromechanical and electronic assemblies. You will assess supplier capabilities before selection, address non-conformances, and pursue manufacturability improvements while coordinating with Engineering and Supplier teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree in a technical field.
• Experience in manufacturing with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with external manufacturers/service providers.
• Ability to analyze data and define problems with facts.
• Strong communication with internal and external contacts.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and drive improvements.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
• Travel required ~40%.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between supplier, Triumph Engineering and Triumph Quality.
• Drive process improvements in the supply base.
• Interface with internal teams and suppliers on technical risks and opportunities.
• Uphold Quality and Process System requirements and RCCA support.
• Use technical skills to bring cost reduction ideas to Supplier/Engineering.
• Conduct onsite supplier risk assessments.
• Manage poor-performing suppliers with quality data trends.
