Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Structures Technician (Machining) in Hawthorne, CA. The role focuses on assembling and repairing rocket components, aligning parts, and installing fasteners with precision tools.

You will work from detailed drawings, perform deburring, sealing, and surface preparation tasks, and ensure quality per specifications. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma and 1+ years in hardware assembly or related fields, with A&P background preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certificate from an accredited trade skills program in A&P, manufacturing, or electronics is acceptable.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Modify, repair, assemble, and install rocket and spacecraft components per drawings.
• Align parts and secure using clecos or clamps.
• Install fasteners in the correct sequence with appropriate tooling.
• Deburr parts and prepare for fastener installation per instructions.
• Maintain quality using QA instruments and per drawing.
