Job summary

Qualified candidates hold a bachelor’s in engineering with 5+ years in aerospace design, strong CAD experience (CATIA V5/3DX), GD&T, and PLM tool proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of experience in the aerospace industry with a design emphasis.
• Knowledge of aircraft structural design and familiarity with industry standards for manufacture, repair, and assembly.
• Experience using CAD software to design aircraft/spacecraft structures.
• Experience with GD&T per ASME Y14.5, drawing creation, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management tools (PLM) and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs of aircraft/spacecraft structural configurations.
• Create components or portions of a functional system to develop or improve products and support manufacturing operations.
• Integrate vehicle systems and release detailed 3D parts, assemblies, and drawings of metallic and composite parts.
• Work independently under guidance to meet industry standards, tolerances, weight, and cost targets.
• Coordinate with engineering stakeholders during design, production, integration, test, and operation.
• Prepare clear reports that summarize information and provide design support.
