Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a contract welder in Orlando, FL to weld and fabricate launch hardware components for aerospace applications. You will perform high-precision welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, reading drawings and collaborating with the welding team to ensure code-compliant welds.

Responsibilities include selecting weld procedures, cutting and fitting tube and pipe, and maintaining craftsmanship while meeting safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• At least 1 year welding experience in manufacturing.
• Proficient with FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, GTAW processes.

Responsibilities

• Weld structural and pipe components using FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, GTAW on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Cut, trim, fit, and fabricate weldments to precise dimensions.
• Interpret engineering drawings and plan welding operations.
• Apply proper weld procedures and filler rod sizes per project.
