Job summary

RTX invites motivated students to join a full-time co-op session in Jamestown, ND, working with a team of stress engineers on new product development and certification. You will perform basic structural analyses, support load cases, and help prepare documentation for certification, while gaining hands-on experience with CAD tools.

Ideal candidates are pursuing Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering degrees and have CAD experience; internships run May/June to December with a possible course

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree inMechanical, Civil or Aerospace Engineering and enrolled through internship.
• Minimum of 60 hours of credit by internship start date.
• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD, Autodesk, CATIA or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Assist stress engineers on new product development and certification.
• Perform basic structural analysis using classical methods and FEA.
• Support generation of component and aircraft interface loads.
• Develop structural analysis documentation for product certification.
• Support structural testing for certification.
