Job summary

The Ash Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III for a 12-month contract in Plano, TX (onsite). Compensation up to $59/hr W2, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and direct primary care. After six months, a 4% matched 401(k) with full vesting is provided.

Responsibilities include designing heavy structural modifications for aerospace platforms, conducting simulations (FEA/CFD), and supporting product lifecycle from concept to certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5-10 years as a Mechanical Engineer.
• Heavy structural mods experience with CAD tools.
• Familiarity with multidisciplinary design and development teams.
• Strong understanding of overarching structural design.

Responsibilities

• Research advanced mechanical solutions for aerospace missions.
• Design heavy structural modifications for LC130H airframe.
• Simulate structural performance with FEA and CFD.
• Interpret and apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams.
• Document design decisions and technical reports.
• Support certification and testing activities.
