Job summary

Albany International Corporation seeks an assembler in Utah to join a team building major aircraft structures from composites and metals. You will read assembly instructions, install components, and use hand and power tools while keeping a clean, safe work area and following quality procedures.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 1–2 years in complex aircraft assembly; A&P certification is a plus. This role offers a strong benefits package and a stable defense-contractor environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of experience with complex aircraft assembly desired.
• TradeSchool certification such as Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) certification is desired.
• Shop floor math skills, ability to read drawings or blueprints.
• 1-2 years of experience using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and fit pre-fabricated metallic and composite parts to form assemblies, working at benches or on a structure assembly fixture.
• Read and interpret aircraft assembly instruction plans, diagrams, drawings and other documentation to perform the assembly function with accuracy and little supervision.
• Assemble, fit, shim and install pre-fabricated parts and subassemblies such as spars, ribs, skins and fittings using hand and power tools.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and coordinate with quality to ensure proper sign-off and compliance with procedures.
