Job summary

CoAspire in Northern Virginia is seeking a senior structural analyst to support the development, integration, and performance assessment of aerospace weapons systems. You will work with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure structural integrity and program requirements are met.

The role involves building and validating finite element models, interpreting test data, and preparing technical documents for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in structural analysis of aerospace metallic or composite structures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis for quasi-static loading and dynamic analysis.
• Strong fundamentals of hand calculations.

Responsibilities

• Support development, integration, and performance assessment of aerospace weapons systems.
• Develop and maintain Finite Element Models for static and dynamic loading environments.
• Review and interpret test data to validate models and identify improvements.
• Assist engineering team in diagnosing performance issues and refining system behavior.
• Prepare technical documentation and presentations for stakeholders.
• Contribute to process improvement by recommending analytical tools or workflows.
• Collaborate with leadership across engineering disciplines on fast-paced projects.
