Job summary

The Structures Company is seeking a Structural Analysis-Stress Engineer for a 11-month contract in Fort Worth, TX. The role focuses on performing stress analyses on airframe structures using NASTRAN, PATRAN, Abaqus, and CATIA V5/3DX, with emphasis on design changes and MRB analyses.

Candidate must hold an active Secret clearance and be a U.S. Person per ITAR. Unix/Linux familiarity and strong interpretation of drawings are required to support aerospace subsystems and installations.

Qualifications

  • Active Secret Security Clearance required to start.
  • Must be a U.S. Person to comply with ITAR.
  • Experience with FEA software including NASTRAN and PATRAN.
  • Experience using Abaqus.
  • Experience using TMP Vision for post-processing.
  • Experience with CATIA V5/3DX.
  • Familiarity with UNIX/LINUX operating systems.
  • Ability to interpret detail, assembly, and installation type drawings and models.
  • Airframe primary structure layout and sizing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform stress analysis on new designs of primary and secondary airframe structure.
  • Update existing analyses to incorporate design changes.
  • Perform MRB stress analysis of metallic and composite structure.
  • Use FEA software including NASTRAN and PATRAN; Abaqus for analysis.
