Job summary

Relativity Space, Inc. is seeking an experienced Structural Analysis Engineer in California to drive architecture, sizing, and development of rocket structures including tanks and mechanisms for Terran R.

You will lead analyses at component, system, and vehicle levels and collaborate across teams to meet stringent requirements. You will develop novel analysis techniques for reusable launch vehicles, direct engineers in applying structural mechanics, and perform tests and data processing to

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Engineering or related discipline.
2+ years of experience in an analysis role.
Working knowledge of structural analysis and testing.
Knowledge of metallic structure behavior and failure modes.
Proficiency with FEM packages such as Nastran/Abaqus and pre/post-processor like Femap.
Proficiency with Python or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

Drive architecture, sizing, and development of structures in collaboration with peer teams.
Build, execute, and validate structures analyses at component, system, and vehicle level.
Develop novel structural analysis techniques for reusable launch vehicles.
Direct design and development engineers in applying structural mechanics to meet requirements.
Develop and execute tests to support structures development and qualification, including data processing.
