Job summary

ACL Digital seeks a stress analyst with experience in substantiating aircraft interiors and system commodities using classical, empirical, and finite element methods. The role emphasizes clear communication of analysis results to engineers, leads, and managers.

The candidate will create and validate FE models from 3D CAD, assess composite panels, brackets, joints, and fasteners, and ensure compliance with FAA and EASA requirements through hand analysis where needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with FEA in structural analysis
• Experience with linear and nonlinear statics
• Familiarity with FAA and EASA certification requirements
• 4+ years with 3D CAD models and drawings
• Experience with durability and damage tolerance concepts
• Ability to communicate analysis findings to engineers and managers

Responsibilities

• Perform and document structural analysis of aircraft interiors and systems commodities
• Ensure compliance with FAA and EASA regulations for certification
• Create and validate FE models from 3D CAD data for composite panels, brackets, fittings, joints
• Substantiate structures through classical hand analysis
• Identify potential failure modes from analyses
• Coordinate with design and other teams to support structural development
• Review drawings to substantiate via test, analysis, or similarity methods
