Job summary

TotalEnergies seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer focused on structural analysis for aircraft certification. You will model and analyze stress, fatigue, and damage tolerance, and develop FEA using NASTRAN, ABAQUS, and related tools. You will prepare analytical reports for customers and FAA submissions.

Collaboration with design, quality, and manufacturing teams is essential. Travel across North America, Europe, and Asia is required as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Applied Mechanics or Engineering Sciences.
• 7+ years mechanical engineering experience in structural mechanics.
• Proficiency in classical and numerical methods.
• Knowledge of drawings, design principles, and materials used in aerospace.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress analyses to define limit and ultimate test loads for qualification testing.
• Conduct dynamic/vibration analyses and recommend system parameters.
• Carry out fatigue, damage tolerance, and FEA to meet specs.
• Prepare reports for customers and FAA certification.
